I was surprised when I read that statistic too. I cannot find an explanation that would make sense.

My mother is left handed too, so in my case there might be some genetic component which is not favouring me for a long life. And her father was too, in all probability, but he was a child in the time in which children were punished by their teacher for using their left hands. It also shows in my interests, as I am quite creatively inclined.

You on the other hand, had to adapt probably because of your disability. So don't worry about it.

I might end up as Balzac. At 50 years of age, he could finally marry the woman whom he was interested in, as her husband had finally died. Within the year he died himself.
