It didn't look mountainous or hilly....so it couldn't be too far west. I would imagine some places, just like in the USA, are cheaper to purchase due to a low employment opportunity factor. Once the 'family farm' concept was no longer financially lucrative....there was nothing to do but move elsewhere.

I won't have to work....so I don't care if I'm snowed in - in a cool place! My only concern is seeing those 1960 TV antennas.....leading me to believe cable isn't a going thing in the area. ARRGG...what would you do for an internet connection?????

I know we don't have the political thread started.....but IF the wrong person gets elected....I've vowed to leave the USA...either to Canada or Mexico.
