Makes me wonder a couple of things:
1. What is the difference between "sexual battery" and statutory rape?
2. What happened on the 15th occasion that made this 13 year old boy decide that, enough is enough by golly, and report the incident?
IMHO, there is no difference between an adult man and adult woman having sex with a minor. Now we may argue about the definition of a "minor," but our law defines it rather clearly, and if we wanted to define it differently then we must change the law. Until then we must obey it or suffer the consequences.
Conceptually, age isn't necessarily the best measure of moral maturity. There are "adults" acting like 13 year olds.
