Default Adult Peer Pressure

I know peer pressure is a big deal among teens because they are trying to fit into a group of people which aren't related to their parents. LOL!

As an adult though...has peer pressure among adult friends ever caused you to do or act in a way which you wouldn't do otherwise?

I began dating someone a few years ago who I really liked. We had mutual friends who had introduced us. These friends began to tell me I should do this or that...play hard to get....and much like a silly schoolgirl I actually followed their advice. (Probably over beer 5...which always gives us such great wisdom!) That relationship ended before it ever had a chance to get going. A couple of years later....I found out he was very upset about it.

I deeply regret what happened. Not because it may have been a match made in heaven...but only because I acted SO STUPID due to listening to other people.

I wonder if anyone else has a similar story.
