Mine was spreading when they caught it (started in an abnormal mole) I actually have to have a mole on my face removed in the future b/c they don't want it spreading there. The main concern w/it on my chest is that my age group (24-30 how do they decide the age ranges???) has the highest occurance of spreading and since it was the chest it could quickly spread to the breasts or lungs. My Doc told me in 5 yrs it would have been inoperable leading to a 10 yr fatality rate. VERY SCARY when you are 25.

Now I can't go in the sun at all unless necessary (I've always worn sunsreen b/c of tattoos but that's not enough anymore) and I have to see a specialist every few months. I go back in April to have work on my face.

I think my biggest fear is pain. I'm a baby. I'm not afraid to die b/c I have lived a good life and been (overall) a good person so I believe good things are still in store for me after the end of this life. But I am terrified of pain.
