It's pointless trying to win approval from someone who doesn't like you. You've not treated her badly, so it's her problem.
I've noticed that if someone doesn't like you, they get quite irritated if you are really polite to them, to the point of formality. Of course they can't fault you at all, maybe that's why they find it so frustrating!
