There have been a few changes made to how we not only publish news on the main pages here at lifesupporters.com, but also to how we discuss it within our forums. For starters, our "In the News" area has been renamed to a more general "World Around Us" Category which should help to make the news less focused on one or two geographic locales. The World Around Us is more of a generic category to discuss non issue specific articles that really have nothing to do with life support (as we define it) and/or the social issues we typically cover both here and in our forums.
A Hot Topics forum has been added to discuss news around the globe that incites emotional response for whatever reason. As an example, there is a discussion within the Hot Topics area focusing on the fiasco surrounding Paris Hilton and the drama surrounding her utter nonsense as of late. This forums focus is to discuss Hot Topics around the globe that really affect us emotionally for various reasons and to discuss what fuels said emotions.
Lastly, a category focusing on Lifesupporters.com News has been added to discuss news published on the main page of lifesupporters.com. The reason this forum is so important is it will provide valuable feedback on not only what you want to see on our main pages but also additional resources that may help those in need. I'm hoping this type of discussion helps increase our collective understanding of today's social issues and how they impact us as well as educate those who may need assistance in dealing with these issues. The plan is to eventually link all of these items together via a comprehensive Life Support Resource that details all social issues ranging from A to Z with as much information on each issue as possible. Feel like helping out, well, that's easy. Simply register in our forum and join in the conversation. |
