Lifesupporters in 2010 E-mail

Although the neither the news page or blog reflect it, 2009 was a rather busy year for Lifesupporters.com.Site News

We finally managed to secure reliable webhosting and lay to rest the issues that have plagued us since day one. I simply cannot communicate how terrific it is to finally come here and see the site online and quick to respond, ALL THE TIME; its truly wonderful.

Virtually the entire site underwent a complete makeover in both aesthetic and usability and is now finally reaching completion. This one change took many months to reach this stage as well since I'm not exactly a coder so what may take some .html/.css experts a few minutes may take me several hours due to silly coding errors.

Our forums underwent a number of version upgrades and now include more social features such as member photo albums/galleries, the addition of Social Groups, and a Community Chatbox (to members with 10+ posts). The forums themselves have also been compressed and cleaned up to reduce scrolling and make it more obvious where topics belong. While there is still some clean up remaining where we are so far is leaps and bounds better than where we were this time last year.

Lastly, we added a number of truly great members and as far as I'm concerned, have the best forum environment we have since the site first came online.

So what's in store for 2010?

Instead of going into a long winded and horribly sideways response which I'm famous for I'll take the high road and use point form instead. Some of what is planned for 2010 includes:

  • Upgrade to vBulletin 4.x series forum.
  • Potential addition of member blogs via Lifesupporters.com.
  • Regular Community Chat Parties hosted at Lifesupporters.com, updates via "Chatters Group".
  • Re-capturing and updating of news articles lost in our last move.
  • Drastic increase in articles published on blog and linked to forum discussions.
  • Drastic increase in articles published on news page and linked to forum discussion.
  • Ability to follow Lifesupporters.com updates on Social Networking Platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
  • Partial re-structuring of Lifesupporters Web Directory.
  • Completion of About Us.
  • Advertising Opportunities (by request)

The above represents the changes that are already in the works however is not indicative of what else is in the works. Some projects on the table for next year include the potential completion of Fragtard.net, a Gaming Server and TeamSpeak Server for Fragtard as well as a merged Fragtard/Lifesupporters You Tube Channel.

Its also quite likely that LIFT will begin this year however actual launch date still remains uncertain at this time.

As you can see there is a lot on the table already for Lifesupporters.com which should make for a rather busy year. Hopefully something in the above will appeal enough to help you finally join in the fun in our forums. After all its fine people like you that really make the difference around here. Much of what you see is only a mix of code and time; the heart comes from fine folks just like you.

Thank you all for being Life Supporters!
