As a parent I've had my share of nightmares about my child's mortality and my inability to stop it from happening. In my nightmares, my daughter is usually a finger length away and as I go to grab her, the unthinkable happens and she's taken from me. I've learned that this is a part of parenting and how to deal with it although I must admit, these nightmares always leave me feeling very low.

Recently I've met a gentleman named Dave who's worse fears became reality as Dave is now the father to Michael who has become a shell of his former self. Justice for Michael is a very heart-wrenching tale of peer pressure, irresponsibility and bad luck, all of which combined to change Michael and Dave's lives forever.

Science and Technology have managed to help the human race progress to a point where much of whats possible today was only dreamed of as little as 50 years ago. We've evolved to a point where we can do most everything in a non-personal and remote manner from research to shopping to digitally connecting on a world wide scale.

Whats funny about this fact is the more we progress forward technologically, the more we seem to regress on a personal level. Quite honestly, I fear for the human race because I believe as far as family is concerned, we're actually de-evolving.

Have we lost site of what's truly important?

The new look and feel of Lifesupporters.com, has brought about changes in my commitment toward keeping the news page up to date. I will admit that I've allowed the news page here to lapse into mediocrity on more than one occasion due to time constraints within my daily life however, I cannot use this excuse as of late.

It seems as if I'm suffering from a major case of writers block right now as I can't seem to put more than a few coherent sentences together at any one time. The sad part is, even these minor ramblings are usually deleted during the editing process as they form what I consider to be "filler phrases" at best.  

July 3 is not only the birthday of a good friend of mine, it's also the day that Lifesupporters.com celebrates creation as well. It's hard to believe that Lifesupporters actually turned 3 today given there were many times over the past few years where I wondered if we would actually still be online.

Even though 3 years is not a long time, it still seems like an age given our history.  The nice thing is that we've managed to actually help some people in our time online which is what I wanted of this place since day one however, that doesn't change how good it feels when someone actually feels better due to something that happened here.
