Blaming Gaming E-mail

All right, please allow me to apologize in advance, but I'm really sickening of all the whining, belly-aching andEntertainment finger pointing about how gaming, movies, music, etc., are to blame for society going to the toilet. In fact, it seems as if today's society has gotten into the habit of blaming virtually everything as it's easier to point a finger at someone else than at ones self.

I guess it's only fair to admit being an avid gamer, Armed Assault and IL2 Forgotten Battles being my latest obsessions (I use the term loosely). I'll be the first to admit that there is gratuitous blood and violence in them but so what? I've killed head crabs, zombies, imps, robots, martians, and corrupt humans. With the exception of corrupt human foes, all the characters are fictitious. Now, lets say I climb a bell tower or go to work one day and start firing, why in the hell would I be able to blame it on gaming or a song lyric rather than me being a few cards short of a full deck?

Good Parenting Tips E-mail

I recently found myself with nothing to do for all of about 30 seconds so I started surfing the net for tips on goodFamily Matters parenting procedures. In my browsing, I came across a site called familydoctor.org that has some short, no nonsense information on being a good parent. The short article covers issues such as parental temper control, spanking, parental frustration as well as parental help, guidance ideas and general parenting tips.

Snoring and Your Marriage E-mail

If you live with someone who snores, you know the drill, especially wives. You try to fall asleep as your husbandFamily Matters snores loudly beside you. You poke, prod, and try to get him to roll over but end up leaving the room for a spare bedroom or the couch to try and get a good night's sleep. Usually the husband doesn't even notice. Can this snoring be hurting your marriage?

Dr. Rosalind Cartwright, founder of the Sleep Disorders Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, is the director of a new study looking into how snoring can affect your marriage. Obstructive sleep apnea, a medical problem caused when the soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses during sleep, is often the cause of snoring. The disease may occur in both genders but is most common in obese, middle-aged men.
